Kippenvel
Als gevoelig meisje, heb ik vaak kippenvel. Niet alleen als ik het koud heb, maar ook van ontroering, als ik schrik of als ik voel dat iets belangrijk is. Vaak gebeurt dit als ik mensen coach. Hun inzichten, verhalen, emoties raken me en dat vertaalt zich bij mij in kippenvel.
Een paar jaar geleden gaf ik een lezing tijdens een dag over hooggevoeligheid en in plaats van mijn zorgvuldig voorbereide betoog, besloot ik wat te vertellen over kippenvel. En dat leidde bij veel mensen in de zaal tot kippenvel. mijn stelling is dus dat sensitieve typjes eerder kippenvel hebben (hoe zit dat bij jou?).
Vanmorgen keek ik het nieuws en ik zag de nieuwe president van de Verenigde Staten. En tot mijn verrassing kreeg ik kippenvel. Zijn aanvaardingsspeech raakte me. Vooral deze zinnen:

Zou deze president het dan wel voor elkaar krijgen om mensen te verbinden met zichzelf en met elkaar? Wat betekent deze tekst voor jou en waar krijg jij kippenvel van?

Wat deze tekst voor mij betekent, is……kippenvel.
Voor mij is het een feestdag. Nooit heb ik zoveel interesse in de uitkomst van een verkiezing gehad als dit jaar. Het is alweer lang geleden dat ik Barak Obama op tv zag bij Oprah. Hij sprak toen over zijn ambitie om president te worden en ik dacht toen: “Yes! Dat zou geweldig zijn.” Wist nog niet veel van de man, maar hij voelde heel goed. Heel dichtbij. Voor mij is dit een teken van positieve veranderingen op wereldniveau. Heb nog steeds kippenvel terwijl ik dit schrijf.

Far more than anything my husband and I wanted a baby, we had been trying for a year with no success. My husband bought each book and program on the market . We were testing for ovulation everyday and saving up our baby creating time for just when that little stick turned pink. Our next step was infertility treatment, we had been avoiding it mainly because our insurance would not cover it and for IVF and every thing that came with it , we were looking at close to $30,000.00. Until we finally discovered some thing that worked, This really is what worked for us and I am proud to tell other folks about it read my story here. What I wouldnt give to have a argue with you about this. You just blurt so many things that come from out of nowhere that Im pretty sure I would have a good shot. When my twins were born 16 months ago, I needed to have a new cam corder to save all of the beautiful moments together. I do not know if there was FLIP in the marketplace at the time, but no one had told me regarding it. Therefore i purchased another video camera and I had a hard time to convert the videos on my PC in order to see them and I could not share any videos with my family and friends. And I thought it was small! Today I have the FLIP and this is the best! I love my FLIP! It’s actually easy to use and we were surprised about the quality of the videos! I just wish I had had it before!

It will probably realise. There’s something called machine learning, a branch of AI where computers are "taught" to analyse various situations in their environment and come up with a conclusion. It may work for some time but the search engine will finally learn that something’s fishy.

I realize now giving up smoking will be almost impossible. I introduced myself to using cigarettes while I was 14 years old. It had been the most horrible mistake of my life. Now I’m much older and I have lung disease. I tried all of the stopping products still nothing at all did any good. My final try is definitely the e-cig in the end.
